Status widget

A Status widget for the general GUI

Users will want to create their custom views of their beamline, i.e. synoptics view of the beamline. I am not entirely sure how much this now overlaps with developments in other groups, but I can simply paste here some ideas.

What exists and what do we want

Looking at solutions from other facilities, there seem to be different efforts to create a status like view of the beamline (Taurus, svgsynoptics, etc.) I like the appearance of some of those from the point of view of a beamline scientist or during the commissioning phase. On the other hand, it is not bad to always have such a panel. Nevertheless, the question is whether this view should be linked to BEC, or also be avaialable without BEC running. Most upstream devices, valves, pressure sensors should be EPICs PVs and I believe there might already be CATQDM panels that are build for the beamlines upstream geometries.

In the other facilities, these views re complemented by different status messages from the machine, alarms or more that would help the user to be aware of what is currently happening within the synchrotron or the beamline. A first development could focus on these feature, since they are common for all beamline and of interest for them.
