"connect" button to monitor 2D detector is unintuitive

(also discussed with @wakonig_k )

Starting a scan which has Eiger (demo config) -> had to add an Image plot -> no image displayed. One has to click on "connect" to make it receiving updates.

Questions:

  • is there a way to automatically have the 2D image showing up if a scan containing 2D data/image is running ?
  • could the Image widget connect automatically ?
  • if it is important to have this button, it would be nice if it shows a disconnected icon when toggled
